Reporting Line

This position reports to: Account Manager/Digital SPL Manager

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of applied products and technology. Your daily tasks will include determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also analyze lost proposals, identify potential causes, and recommend future actions.

The work model for this role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role contributes to the Process Automation Marine & Ports division in Miramar, FL.

Key Accountabilities
  • Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in identifying the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing demanding offers.
  • Preparing or supporting the preparation of technical and commercial offers based on customer specifications, local business indications, and sales directives.
  • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers using market information and insights from the Sales organization.
  • Defining costs for proposed solutions and communicating them to the Sales team.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 years' marine industry, electrical engineering, or diesel engine experience OR Associates' degree with 4 years' experience OR Bachelors' degree with 2 years' experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build commitment in diverse environments.
  • BS degree in Marine, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred, along with 2 years of marine industry experience.
  • Sales and support experience preferred.
  • Strategic and sales planning experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge in Power and Marine service industry.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the US required.
