Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Service Route Driver to join our Akron, OH team. This full-time role focuses on day-shift deliveries, loading and unloading products, and maintaining inventory at client locations.

You will handle cash from machines and ensure proper refrigeration while delivering excellent service. Ideal candidates are 21+, with a clean driving record, able to lift 50 lbs, and capable of working independently with strong organization and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure products in the company vehicle.
• Drive to client locations to deliver products and food.
• Deliver, load, and unload products as required.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering and manage inventory at locations.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise and cash from machines.
• Interact positively with customers and AVI team members.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Service Route Driver.

This is a full-time position in Akron, OH. The schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
