Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Service Route Driver in Sandusky, OH for a full-time position with an early start time of 4:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday. The driver loads, delivers, stocks, and maintains refrigeration for client locations while promoting products to customers.

The role includes responsibilities such as inventory control, cash handling from machines, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure products for service locations.
• Drive to client locations to deliver products and food.
• Load/unload products as required and stock shelves or vending machines.
• Maintain refrigeration of all cold items in the truck and at accounts.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of merchandise.
• Collect unsold merchandise and handle machine payments.
• Provide friendly customer interactions and professional service.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines and vehicle.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Service Route Driver, Full-time. This position is scheduled Monday through Saturday with 4:00 a.m. start time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:
