Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly, hardworking Service Route Driver for a full-time role with a 5:00 a.m. start, Monday through Friday.

Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems has grown into a respected national food service provider focused on quality ingredients and dependable service. The duties include loading the vehicle, delivering to client locations, stocking vending machines, maintaining refrigeration, and handling inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Load the company vehicle with products needed for service locations.
• Drive to client locations to transport products and food.
• Deliver, load, and unload products as requested.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering of merchandise and control inventory.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
• Collect money from machines (coins and bills).
• Communicate positively with customers by eye contact and smiling.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
• Maintain the company vehicle.
