Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is hiring a friendly and hardworking Service Route Driver in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time position starts early (5am) from Monday to Friday and involves loading, delivering, and stocking products to client locations, while maintaining equipment and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicle with products for service locations
• Transport and deliver products to client locations
• Unload and stock items at accounts and vending machines
• Maintain refrigeration of perishable items in the vehicle and at accounts
• Manage inventory and ordering for accounts
• Interact professionally with customers and AVI team members
• Complete routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Operate vehicle in compliance with company policies and safety standards

HEADQUARTERS SERVICE CENTER

Our Headquarters Service Center serves as the main support for all AVI operations throughout the United States. Departments include accounting, administration, finance, human resources, marketing, procurement, risk management, training and development, wellness and much more.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Service Route Driver.

This is a full-time position in Indianapolis, IN. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with a 5am start time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
