Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking a proactive service/sales professional to service and grow an assigned customer base in the Tampa area. The role focuses on building territory with Account Executives and exceeding customer expectations through timely service and effective communication.

Responsibilities include initiating new business via cold calls, maintaining regular customer contact, participating in vendor and company trainings, and supporting marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the safety field.
• General awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
• Proficient with technology to enhance the customer experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug and background check.

Essential Job Functions

• Consistently introduces and implements new products and service to assigned accounts.
• Achieves and Maintains First Aid and CPR Certification and Fire Extinguisher Inspection License.
• Performs other related duties as assigned .

Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required . College degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• R egularly required to stand , walk , talk , hear and have full use of hands . The employee is occasionally required to sit , reach with hands and arms , climb or balance , and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus .
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel daily .
