Job summary

Fujitec America seeks a Service & Repair Sales Executive in Ohio to secure and maintain service accounts and repair work while building strong relationships with customers. This role targets the branch revenue goals through disciplined account management.

The candidate will travel locally (75%) with occasional overnight stays, develop capital plans, prepare proposals and bids, and coordinate with operations to meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in elevator service/maintenance sales.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR required.
  • Local travel up to 75%, overnight travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed sales goals and quotas using company tools for service and repair growth.
  • Manage service accounts by visiting customers within the territory and building relationships.
  • Develop capital plans for customers to address building needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of company products and local elevator code requirements.
  • Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labor and other costs using estimating software.
  • Prepare service contract bids and review blueprints and equipment when needed.
  • Respond to questions related to quoted repairs and contracts and follow up on proposals.
  • Monitor status of current service contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Notify customers about contract renewals and any price increases.
  • Keep records of sales activities using company software.
  • Assist in accounts receivable collection to ensure prompt payment.
  • Visit project sites and coordinate with operations to meet deadlines.

Job Summary

Secure and maintain service accounts and repair work and developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers so that the branch meets annual revenue goals. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

  • Exceed sales goals and quotas by utilizing company tools for service and repair growth and cancellation reduction.
  • Manage service accounts by visiting customers within assigned territory, to develop ongoing relationships with customers and build an understanding of their needs and wants, including building relationships any associated groups.
  • Develop capital plans for customers to address their short-and long-term building needs.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products by attending training classes and studying factory equipment manuals and supplier information, including developing knowledge of local elevator code requirements.
  • Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labor and other job costs using estimating software program. For items not in the program, obtain price estimates from suppliers and manually calculate, including reviewing blueprints, surveying equipment and interfacing with operations personnel for additional input and approvals.
  • Prepare service contract bids, including reviewing blueprints and surveying equipment when necessary and interfacing with operations personnel for additional input and approvals.
  • Receive and respond to written and oral questions related to quoted repairs and service contracts, including performing follow-up with customers on all service and repair proposals.
  • Monitor the status of current service contracts by visiting jobsites and customers within assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction with service; resolves outstanding issues.
  • Contact service customers regarding contract renewal prior to contract expiration; advise of price increases if appropriate.
  • Keep timely, well-organized records of sales activities including but not limited to proposals, bookings, losses and cancellations, using company-provided sales management software.
  • Utilize systems to perform various tracking functions.
  • Assist in A/R collection efforts to ensure prompt payment from customers
  • Conduct customer follow-up on all proposals.
  • Visit project sites when necessary and work with operations department to ensure customer needs and deadlines are being met.

Job Qualifications And Requirements

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
  • Job duties are performed mainly within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Requires prompt, reliable, regular, and in-person attendance at the office to oversee shared services functions and/or employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require a flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.
