Description

The Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) role involves strategic engineering and hands-on work to configure, tune, and maintain multi-tiered systems for optimal performance, stability, and availability. Responsibilities include managing jobs and applications on bare-metal and cloud platforms, working with large-scale data processing to support Apple’s global products. Minimum Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field with 5+ years or MS with 3+ years experience, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• 5+ years managing services in a *nix environment.
• Understanding of SRE principles and on-call experience.
• Ability to code in any language; Go, Python, Ruby, Java preferred.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kubernetes, AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fast learner with analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting Java applications.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana.
• Knowledge of DNS, HTTP, message queues, RPC frameworks, datastores.
• Experience with distributed teams and large projects.
• Strong communication skills and results-driven.

Pay & Benefits
