Job summary

Livermore Ford and Lincoln in Livermore, CA seeks a Service Porter to support the service department by keeping vehicles clean, presentable, and ready for service. The role also involves transporting vehicles and customers as needed to keep the lot and shop running smoothly.

You will drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles, assist with basic maintenance tasks, and help maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed.
• Installs protective coverings (seat, steering wheel covers, floor mats) and tags in vehicles brought in for service.
• Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Washes and cleans vehicles as needed.
• Maintains lot cleanliness and removes debris as necessary.
• Maintains shop cleanliness including windows, doors, and floors.
• Transports customers to and from their home when needed.
• Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
