Job description

Service Porter

The Service Porter is responsible for performing various duties related to the operation of a service department. This position involves daily interaction with Customers, Technicians, Collision Managers, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates, and Managers.

Job Responsibilities

1. Pick up and deliver customers to desired locations.
2. Pick up and deliver vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed.
3. Move vehicles from the intake area to the storage area.
4. Assist in moving vehicles inside and outside the service department to help achieve production standards.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Operator Driver's License (must be insurable and able to drive a standard transmission).

Physical Demands

The physical requirements include regular standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds are required. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Compensation

$13.00 per hour
