Job summary

Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Service Porter to help coordinate customer vehicle flow and support the service department throughout the day. This onsite role runs Monday–Friday (7/8am–5:30pm) and Saturdays (8am–1pm).

You will greet guests, prep vehicles, assist Service Advisors, restock supplies, and keep the waiting area clean while supporting team members. Berger offers strong benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, organized, and efficient.
• Ability to operate an automobile with a valid driver’s license.
• Requires pre-employment screenings (background, driving, and drug test).
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prep customer vehicles for Service Technicians.
• Greet guests and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
• Support Service Advisors with customer needs as needed.
• Clean the service department and customer waiting lounge.
• Restock service department-related supplies.
• Assist with picking up and delivering customer vehicles when needed.
• Assist with test-driving customer vehicles when needed.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.
