Sonic Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Service Porter at Concord Honda in Concord, CA. The role supports the used-vehicle department by maintaining vehicle appearance, organizing inventory, and assisting the sales team with vehicle logistics and customer support tasks.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working outdoors in a fast-paced dealership environment. Prior automotive experience is a plus but not required; must have a valid driver’s license and pass

Responsibilities

• Move, park, and organize vehicles on lot/showroom.

• Assist sales staff in retrieving and staging vehicles for customers.
• Transport vehicles between dealership locations and auctions as needed.
• Support events, promotions, and sales activities.

Job Description

The Sales Porter plays a key support role in the day‑to‑day operations of the dealership’s used vehicle department. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, organization, and readiness of the vehicle inventory, while assisting the sales team with vehicle logistics and customer support tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move, park, and organize vehicles on the lot and showroom to ensure an attractive and orderly display.
• Clean and prepare vehicles for sale, including washing, vacuuming, and light detailing.
• Ensure all vehicles are fueled, charged (if applicable), and ready for test drives.
• Assist sales staff in retrieving and staging vehicles for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lot, showroom, and surrounding areas.
• Transport vehicles between dealership locations, auctions, or service departments as needed.
• Install or remove dealer tags, license plates, and window stickers.
• Support special events, promotions, and sales activities as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Prior experience in automotive or lot porter roles is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in a fast‑paced dealership environment.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Requirements

Schedule

• FULL TIME
• Monday thru Saturday availability
• Sundays off

Compensation

$18.00 per hour.
