Job summary

Kendall Auto Group in Vancouver, WA is hiring an entry-level Service Porter for our Ford Team. This hourly position offers on-the-job training, competitive pay of $18.00 per hour, and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Responsibilities include moving vehicles, assisting service clients, directing customers to advisors, handling basic check-in info, retrieving parts, and maintaining a clean service area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks and vans.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.

We are looking for self-motivated, reliable candidates ready to begin a career in the Automotive industry. This is an entry level position providing training and room for growth. This is an hourly position, working a full-time schedule.

Our Porters are working in a fast-paced environment, making sure vehicles are arriving and departing to the appropriate store locations. Porters are trusted to drive Kendall vehicles safely and represent the Kendall brand. Job duties include moving and parking service vehicles as needed, communicating and providing superior customer service to service clients, directing service customers to the appropriate advisor, obtaining basic information from vehicles to assist with check in process, retrieving parts and supplies, operating snow removal equipment, washing exterior of vehicles, vacuuming interiors of vehicles and janitorial tasks to keep service drive clean and presentable.

Work is performed equally inside and outside, majority of job duties will be completed via standing or walking, though bending and twisting will occur to enter and exit vehicles frequently. Lifting 20 pounds occasionally, and rarely up to 50 pounds will be required.

Candidates must have the capacity to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models, must have ability to drive automatic and manual transmission. A good, clean driving record and valid driver license is required.
