Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group in Muscatine is seeking a Service Porter to support our busy service department. You will help maintain vehicle presentation, assist technicians, and ensure clean, organized bays.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.

• Valid driver's license with a good record.

• Pre-employment background screening including drug screen.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle inventory appearance by cleaning interior and exterior and replenishing fluids.
• Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keeps lots neat and orderly and moves cars as directed by management.
• Sweeps and vacuums debris and removes containers from work areas.
• Inspects vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and standards compliance.
• Drives vehicles to service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Creates key tags for vehicles and performs other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
• Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.
• Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Makes key tags for vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Driver's License required
• Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

• Must have a valid driver's license with a good record
• Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
• Must complete a pre-employment background screening that includes a background check and drug screen
