Job summary

Hendrick BMW is seeking a Porter to move and clean vehicles across the dealership campus in Charlotte, NC. You will assist with deliveries, maintain an orderly lot, and run routine errands while supporting a clean and safe work environment.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work with regular attendance, and follow company safety policies. Previous basic customer service experience is helpful for interactions with customers and staff.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Moves cars around the lot and to designated areas.
  • Delivers cars to customers or other personnel as needed.
  • Keeps the car lot clean, organized, and safe.
  • Runs errands for the dealership as required.

  • Follows all safety rules and company policies.

Summary:

Responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles. The Porter will perform various tasks and errands for the dealership.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
  • Moves cars.
  • Delivers cars to customers.
  • Keeps car lot clean and orderly.
  • Runs various errands for the dealership.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work includes frequent movement around the dealership facilities and the outdoor car lot and movement in and out of cars. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands

Duties are performed throughout the dealership, both indoors and outdoors and off dealership premises. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a range of tasks. Regularly interacts with employees from various departments in the dealership and has some contact with customers.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
