Job summary

Charlie Clark Auto Group in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Service Porter to support our service department. You will interact daily with customers, technicians, service associates, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates and managers to keep operations running smoothly.

The role involves moving vehicles, delivering vehicles to customers, and maintaining clean, organized service areas. A High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and a valid Texas driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

Education And/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Texas Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).
