Job summary

Charlie Clark Auto Group in Texas is seeking a Service Porter to assist the service department by transporting customers and vehicles, supporting technicians, and maintaining orderly work areas.

You will follow safety rules, handle routine tasks in the shop and offices, and help ensure production standards while delivering courteous service to customers and colleagues. The role requires a valid Texas driver’s license and the ability to lift and move parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License (insurable) required.
• Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations.
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed.
• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards.
• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance.
• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices.
• Follow federal, state and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal procedures.

Service Porter

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations


• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed


• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards


• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance


• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices


• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Texas Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).
