Job summary

Position Summary

The Service Planner is responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, and execution follow-up of all planned maintenance activities across the assigned fleet. This role is critical to maximizing asset availability, ensuring e ective technician utilization, and maintaining full compliance with contractual commitments, internal standards, and HQ requirements. The Service Planner is expected to take full ownership of the maintenance planning process, proactively identify risks and constraints, drive timely resolution of overdue or pending actions, and ensure the integrity of maintenance data and service records across all relevant systems. The role requires strong technical understanding, operational judgment, and close cross‑functional coordination with Service Area Managers, Work Preparators, field teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end planning and scheduling of all preventive, planned corrective, and condition‑based maintenance activities within Myplant CMMS.
• Ensure maintenance plans are optimized to maximize fleet uptime, minimize operational disruption, and improve technician productivity and resource utilization.
• Monitor Myplant condition‑based triggers and translate them into timely, actionable, and properly prioritized maintenance interventions.
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve work orders, job scopes, maintenance plans, and scheduling logic in accordance with HQ standards, contractual obligations, and operational priorities.
• Review engine hours, operating data, maintenance intervals, and asset condition indicators to ensure timely and technically sound maintenance execution.
• Act as a key coordination point with Work Preparators and Service Area Managers for the planning of major interventions, overhauls, outages, and other complex maintenance events.
• Challenge and validate maintenance timing, scope, and readiness to ensure interventions are realistic, e icient, and aligned with business priorities.
• Coordinate with the Service Area Manager to align maintenance windows with customer operational requirements, outage opportunities, and site access limitations.
• Communicate maintenance plans, schedule changes, priorities, and risks clearly and proactively to all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure completed work orders are closed accurately and on time, and that all follow‑up actions, findings, and subsequent events are properly captured and managed.
• Drive invoicing readiness by ensuring service documentation, reports, labor records, and supporting evidence are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
• Monitor overdue work orders, missed maintenance intervals, and outstanding service actions, and take proactive steps to drive closure and prevent recurrence.
• Analyze historical maintenance performance, backlog, execution quality, and recurring issues to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for optimization.
• Produce reliable weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance forecasts, backlog reports, workload projections, and planning performance indicators.
• Maintain high‑quality asset master data, service history, maintenance records, and configuration information within Myplant and related systems.
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes, system discipline, reporting quality, and maintenance execution e ectiveness.
• Ensure full compliance with internal procedures, service governance, quality standards, and contractual service requirements.

Qualifications And Requirements Education And Experience

• Technical degree or equivalent professional background in engineering, industrial maintenance, electromechanics, power generation, or a related discipline.
• Several years of relevant experience in maintenance planning, service operations, field service coordination, or asset maintenance management, preferably in the power generation or heavy industrial sector.
• Proven experience coordinating planned maintenance activities in a multi‑stakeholder, operationally demanding environment.
• Strongly preferred: hands‑on or planning‑related experience with Jenbacher gas engines and associated service requirements.

Technical Knowledge and Systems

• Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of Myplant FSM and Myplant Debrief, a solid understanding of CSA processes and operational flow, and familiarity with MYAC.
• Good working knowledge of Oracle ERP.
• Strong technical understanding of Jenbacher engine operation and maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance, planned corrective maintenance, outage planning, and condition‑based maintenance principles.
• Ability to interpret engine operating hours, maintenance intervals, technical findings, and operational data in order to make planning decisions.
• Understanding of service documentation, work order lifecycle management, and invoicing support requirements.
