Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to sell fire products and services to current and new clients. You will build relationships, identify leads, and tailor solutions to meet customer needs.

The role requires at least 1 year in fire service outside sales, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel is expected as part of territory growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in fire service outside sales required.
• Experience selling fire alarm, fire extinguisher, fire sprinkler, or kitchen hood service required.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least five years of related experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

The Service Outside Sales Representative will sell fire products and fire services offered by Pye-Barker to current and new clientele. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Outside Sales Representatives may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:
