Job summary

Mark Rite Lines Equipment Company (MRL) in Billings, MT, is seeking a Service Center Operations Manager to lead daily operations, coordinate retrofit projects, and ensure top-tier service delivery for pavement marking equipment.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, manage field schedules and customer communications, and uphold safety and compliance standards while growing service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in service operations or related industry.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience in service/repair teams.
• 3+ years in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Service Center operations for efficient service and business performance.
• Partner with Sales Project Managers to develop retrofit project scope, timelines, budgets, documentation, and execution plans.
• Lead pre-production reviews and coordinate cross-functional teams, resources, BOM releases for retrofit projects.
• Coordinate field technician schedules for equipment startups, warranty repairs, and service needs.
• Maintain regular customer communication on progress and next steps.
• Visit customer sites to identify service needs and feed back to factory to improve product quality.
• Lead customer issue resolution and provide warranty guidance and policy adjustments.
• Develop and conduct customer training on safe operation of MRL equipment.
• Maintain CRM records, work orders, and service documentation.
• Identify opportunities to grow the service business via feedback and market trends.
