Service Operations Engineer - Indianola, PA (Hybrid)

Join Bayer as a Service Operations Engineer in Indianola, PA, and be part of a company committed to solving global health challenges. We are seeking a dedicated professional to optimize operational processes, systems, and equipment within our U.S. Service organization.

Purpose

The role involves improving safety, quality, compliance, productivity, and reducing waste by supporting and enhancing service processes, tools, and resource utilization. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to analyze data, lead projects, and improve operational efficiency.
  2. Maintain compliance with laws and standards, and develop SOPs and training materials.
  3. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
  4. Monitor KPIs to identify trends and measure improvement success.
  5. Support training initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Assist in developing service plans, manuals, and tools for field service support.
  7. Coordinate with global and local teams to monitor equipment performance and address reliability issues.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems and design-for-manufacturing or service product development.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Industrial preferred) with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in medical device or regulated industries.
  • Experience in customer-facing service operations.
