Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Resident Field Service Technician (second shift, 4:00pm-2:30am) to join our Service Team in Arkansas. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing a variety of industrial equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will communicate progress with Sales, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers, travel to locations, and work with minimal supervision while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical training or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer sites to return units to operation and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate downtime and job progress to Sales, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers.
• Operate safely with minimal supervision to reduce downtime while maintaining safety standards.
• Travel to customer locations and work with company vehicles as needed.

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a second shift (4:00pm-2:30am) Resident Field Service Technician. ABOUT THE POSITION

Resident Service Mechanics function as part of the Service Team and are responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment within a designated territory.

In this role ,you will:

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work second shift 4:00pm - 2:30am
• minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
• possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
• minimum 21 years of age
• clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This position:

• will be working in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
• will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
• must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
• requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
• requires driving a van/truck to and from customer locations
• must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
• must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
