Seneca Tank is seeking a hands-on Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and replace components on truck- and tank-trailer-mounted systems. You will weld, fabricate, and install parts, and perform required DOT testing to ensure safe operation.
The role emphasizes reading work orders, applying safety standards, and delivering reliable service for customers. A high school diploma and 1 year of fabrication experience are required.
As a Mechanic at Seneca Tank, you'll diagnose, repair, and replace failing components on truck- and tank-trailer-mounted pump, compressor, blower, and hydraulic systems. The work is hands-on and fabrication-heavy: cutting, fitting, and welding aluminum and steel, building and modifying components, and completing mechanical installations and repairs. You'll work with pumps, fittings, and related equipment to get customers' units back on the road reliably and done right the first time.
Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks/trailers, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual.
