What you will do -
As a Service Material Handler II, you will be responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment under minimal supervision. You will also:
- Work with quality and production to manage the process of moving parts and materials throughout the manufacturing plant
- Maintain a computerized inventory system, reconciling discrepancies as required
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment which may include, but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies
- Work with quality technicians and logistics material handlers to ensure correct component identification and traceability
- Conduct fact finding and problem solving as required
- Assist with miscellaneous duties and projects as directed
- Take responsibility for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area
- Commit to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria
What you need –
Required
- Ability to read and write to review documentation and utilize inventory system accurately
- Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, or stand as needed
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
- At least 2 years experience with manufacturing or warehousing environment
- Experience with Systems Applications & Products (SAP) or with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience with order processing, analyzing/resolving customer or operations issues, and/or communicating detailed product information are a plus
