Voith Hydro is hiring for: Service Manager, US Federal (Remote).

Summary: Our Service Manager is a self-motivated, reliable and dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leveraging their relationship to deliver high value products and services to our customers. Responsible for business development and pipeline management, occasional quoting and execution of all OPEX (Operational Expenditure) service projects. Works with customers to generate opportunities to grow the Voith Service Business in the United States and collaborates with key local stakeholders to provide best in class service experience to Voith customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Service Sales and Business Development
  • Business Development advocate for all HyService Opportunities (OPEX, CAPEX, AUTOM/DIGITAL and SPARES)
  • Lead the strategy for growth of their service region and/or Key accounts.
  • Conduct frequent customer visits to generate growth and identify leads.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and develop new customers.
  • Drive sales and marketing of new services and products.
  • Develop new customer and Long-Term Service Agreements
  • Manage opportunities in SalesForce.
  • Be the customer interface for all HyService projects and proposals (CAPEX, OPEX, SPARES and AUTOM/DIGITAL). Support annual sales planning.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years or more of experience in similar role.
  • Experience working with Federal Contracts. Some level of familiarity with FAR and DFAR clauses
  • University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Intrinsically motivated.
  • Service mindset
  • Proven leadership track record.
  • Sales experience with proven record of closing orders.
  • Experience and technical understanding of Hydro turbines, generators and balance of plant equipment.
  • Comfortable with full accountability.
  • Good personal skills, team player.
  • Able to work in a team with remote participants.
  • Fully computer literate MS Office suite.
  • SalesForce experience is an asset.
  • Up to 60% or more of travel time to various customer/project sites is required
