Job summary

Morgan Engineering is seeking a full-time Crane Technician to join our team, performing assembly, installation, and preventative maintenance of overhead cranes at customer sites across the United States.

You will read blueprints, use precision instruments, and work safely at heights up to 100 feet, with opportunities to utilize welding skills and basic rigging. Competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in a related industry.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and use metrological instruments such as micrometers.
• Basic organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have own tools.
• Skills in Millwright work, Iron work, Pipefitting, Electrical meters, Basic machining, Basic welding, Basic rigging.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, wire, and commission Morgan industrial overhead cranes at customer sites across the U.S.
• Perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems on overhead cranes
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including AC and DC electrical systems
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently at heights of up to 100 feet

Education/Experience:
