Job summary

KOORSEN FIRE & SECURITY INC. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Service Manager to lead the department and oversee daily operations. The role requires coordinating staffing, reviewing technician work, and ensuring safety training compliance within a dynamic fire life safety environment.

The successful candidate will manage payroll, attendance, recruiting, and onboarding while interacting professionally with customers and vendors, upholding Koorsen policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Fire Life Safety experience.
• Low-voltage electrical and mechanical experience.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Ability to source, understand, and interpret industry codes and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
• Pass drug and background screenings.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for the department.
• Supervise and track daily activities of the department.

Salary $50,000 - $90,000 Depending Upon Experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily operational support for the department
• Supervisor and track the daily activities of the department
• Review all completed technician paperwork for accuracy and process following workflow guidelines
• Ensure all staff are up-to-date on safety, vendor, and required training and licensing
• Management time & attendance, paid time off, and payroll

Required:

• 3 - 5 years of Fire Life Safety experience
• Relevant low-voltage electrical and mechanical experience
• Must be organized and able to exercise effective time management skills to prioritize workload
• Must be able to source, understand, and interpret industry codes and standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel
• Must be able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications
• Pass drug and background screenings
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.; push and pull greater than 50 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and operate a man lift that may reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• Work in Confined Space environments
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
