Job summary

Centerspace is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Minnesota to support our service team by preparing apartment homes for residents and performing routine repairs on building systems. You will assist with repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep while delivering outstanding customer service.

This on-site role requires on-call rotation on evenings, weekends, and overnights; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be available for on-call work (possible evening, weekend, and overnight calls) via a rotating schedule.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to learn and complete plumbing, electrical, carpentry, dry-wall and painting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, painting/drywall, etc.
• Maintain efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds
• Perform routine maintenance on vacant units prior to new resident occupancy
• Respond to resident service requests; enter and track requests using a work order system
• Keep all amenity areas in clean and operable condition. Seasonally, assist with snow removal and groundskeeping.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 830AM-530PM with On-Call Rotation

The base salary for this position is expected to start at $21.00- $26.00/hour, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate's credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location, with consideration given to internal equity.

Maintenance Specialist

A Day in the Life:

In our Maintenance Specialistrole, you will work with the Service team to help prepare new apartment homes for our residents. You will be assisting in routine repairs of building systems and completing service requests. You play a supporting role in the upkeep of the property’s buildings and grounds, while providing excellent customer service to our residents.
