The Surgical Services Service Line Coordinator provides leadership across clinical, administrative, safety, quality, and patient satisfaction domains. This role involves engaging with surgeons, APPs, staff, and patients to advocate for the service line's needs. The coordinator supports staff development, implements service line initiatives, and acts as a liaison among physicians, anesthesia, and perioperative services. Key duties include managing OR flow, ensuring room readiness, facilitating turnover, coordinating supplies and implants, supporting staff training, and participating in departmental meetings and committees. The role also involves performance management, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program meeting Alabama standards or completion of a clinical program with two years perioperative experience. Must hold an Alabama RN license or Multi-State RN license via NLC, with ACLS certification. CNOR certification is preferred.
