Service & Lead Service Technician Roles in Phoenix, AZ

Join us at American Power Systems, LLC as a Service & Lead Service Technician in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Details:

• Travel required = 50% of the time, including driving, flying, and overnight stays.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Technician Levels and Compensation:

• Level 2 Technician: $25.00 - $30.50/hr
• Level 4 Technician: $32.50 - $40.50/hr

Daily Activities:

• Install batteries and rectifier battery plants
• Upgrade and replace DC power plants and distribution equipment
• Run and lace DC power cables
• Perform load tests and diagnose equipment and systems
• Read and follow standards, specifications, and schematics
• Install, maintain, repair, and remove DC power systems

Requirements:

• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites, including remote and outdoor locations
• Effective communication and technical skills
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and DOT Medical exam
• Provide excellent customer service

Physical Requirements:

• Lift objects up to 50 lbs. unaided; items up to 150 lbs. with assistance; slide objects up to 200 lbs.
• Bend, squat, crawl, kneel, crouch, twist to reach or work on systems
• Use small hand and power tools; climb ladders, gantries, and catwalks
