Join Our Team as a Service Installation Technician - Canton, PA

Zito Media is seeking applicants for a Service Installation Technician to perform routine installations, disconnects, and troubleshooting of cable, high-speed internet, phone services, and end-user equipment. The role requires maintaining performance standards, instructing subscribers, and may involve on-call evenings and weekends. Prior experience is preferred but training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Install cable television, internet, and phone services.
• Complete and submit all assigned work orders.
• Identify faults within the subscriber drop and equipment, ensuring proper signal levels and quality, and correct issues by adjusting, repairing, or replacing components.
• Handle service requests generated by subscribers.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding reception issues, instructions, and services.
• Apply technical expertise to evaluate problems and implement solutions.
• Work independently within broad guidelines, informing supervisors as needed.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including potential out-of-state travel to assist with coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to safely climb ladders multiple times daily, with ladders rated at 250 lbs maximum capacity, or request accommodations for higher weight capacities.
• Ability to carry, set-up, and extend ladders weighing up to 100 lbs multiple times daily.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Friendly, patient, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer troubleshooting skills, including email and MS Office.
• Prior experience in a service environment preferred.
• Ability to climb poles and ladders daily, working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with standard tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, etc.) for cable routing and installation.
• Flexibility to work various schedules, including on-call duties.
• Sufficient visual and auditory acuity to operate testing equipment.
