Mark-Vii-Equipment in Riverside, California is seeking a Service and Install Technician to install, maintain, and repair car wash equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will stage and inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and PLC systems to complete repairs efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years’ related experience, strong mechanical and plumbing skills, and good communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience with car wash equipment.
• 2+ years preferred for senior projects.
• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing car wash systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and PLC schematics.
• Excellent communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stage new equipment on job sites.
• Inspect equipment prior to installation and document any damage.
• Install new car wash equipment.
• Remove old car wash equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as assigned by Dispatch.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues incl. PLC controllers.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
• Provide superior customer service when interfacing with customers.
• Report matters clearly, concisely and accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: Riverside, CaliforniaSalary: $26.00 – 34.00 Per Hour (Non-Exempt)Summary:The Service and Install Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing car wash equipment while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role involves staging and inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues to complete repairs efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, clear communication, and a professional approach when working with customers and maintaining tools and equipment.Roles & Responsibilities:Unloading and staging of new equipment on job sites.Inspecting equipment prior to installation and documenting any damage occurred during shipment.Installation of new car wash equipment.Removal of old car wash equipment.Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.Requires good communication skills.Provides superior customer service when interfacing with customers.Knowledge of proper use of power tools, (i.e. hammer drills, grinder).Accurately perceives information from others.Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely and accurately.Performs periodically scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies; performs diagnostic analysis.Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Education & ExperienceRequires 1-3 years’ related experience.Previous experience with Car Wash equipment.Strong Mechanical and Plumbing skills.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.Understanding of PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power.Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Prolonged periods of sitting.Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.Note: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.Benefits & PerksHealth & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 24/7 virtual care and mental health support via Teladoc.
