Carpenter Hotel in Austin, TX is hiring a Service & Hospitality Lead to expand leadership coverage at Carpenter Hall, blending Lead Server and Food & Beverage Supervisor duties. This hybrid role drives guest satisfaction, elevates service standards, and coaches staff to deliver exceptional experiences in a lively hotel restaurant and cafe environment.

The role requires prior F&B industry experience, supervisory capability, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

• Must have previous F&B industry experience and knowledge.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Active TABC/FH certification required.

Organization - Carpenter Hotel

Opened in fall 2018, this South Austin hotel is one with its lush surroundings. Carpenter Hotel features a pool with a community deck and Q Hut pavilion. Each of its 93 rooms comes with a terrace. Take in the scenery with fare from our all-day Coffee Bar or enjoy a meal on the patio or in the dining rooms of our restaurant, Carpenters Hall. The hotel is nestled in an old pecan grove on the edge of Zilker Park in South Austin. It’s an easy walk to Lady Bird Lake, downtown, and central to everything worth doing.

Summary

The ideal candidate for our Service & Hospitality Lead will e xpand Carpenter Hall's leadership coverage while strengthening daily execution and guest recovery. This hybrid role will be a combination of Lead Server and Food and Beverage Supervisor duties.

Responsibilities

Supervisor Shifts

• Complete opening walks and confirm the restaurant & cafe are service-ready.
• Lead daily morning F&B operations
• Maintain visible floor leadership and coordinate staffing adjustments within approved direction.
• Support guest recovery and elevate issues when management approval is required.
• Monitor service pace, side work, opening standards, and shift accountability.
• Support shift communication, and manager handoff.
• Follow up on maintenance, supply, training, and operational needs.
• Work alongside management to evolve and implement service training standards across the board.

Lead Server Shifts

Qualifications

• Must have previous F&B industry experience and knowledge, previous supervisory experience is a plus

• Must have an active TABC/FH certification
