Cavco Martinsville is seeking a Service Field Tech to repair and assemble building components on our homes. The role involves following work orders, performing repairs from flooring to roofing, and ensuring customer satisfaction on every job.

The ideal candidate has construction experience in flooring, trim, cabinets, tile, drywall, roofing, and related electrical finish work, with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work safely outdoors.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driving record and no criminal record.
• Construction experience in flooring, trim, cabinets, ceramic tile, drywall, roofing and finish electrical.
• Ability to walk, climb and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Repair flooring, ceramic tile, cabinets, trim, drywall, light fixtures, roofing or any other repair as needed.
• Maintain truck and tools are in working order
• Maintain accurate work records and logs
• Provides customers and coworkers with a remarkable experience
• Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies while performing job duties
• Follows work orders and instructions on correct service duties
• Maintains open communication with supervisor
• Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity
• Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed

• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a high-volume
• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary
• You must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members

Working conditions:

• Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical requirements:

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree
• Heavy Work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees as well as function safely around construction equipment
