Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Service Field Supervisor in Lisle, IL to guide and oversee Field Engineers within the ALC business. You will motivate teams, set goals, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality service and projects.

You will lead in planning, scheduling, and ensuring accurate timekeeping, documentation, and customer communication. The role emphasizes HVAC controls expertise, safety, and continuous improvement in field operations.

Qualifications

• HVAC controls and building automation experience required at 2+ years (Bachelor 2+ / Associate 4+ / HS 6+).
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Manage field engineers through training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Ensure team optimizes time on projects and accurately records billing hours.
• Maintain documentation and clear communication with customers, subcontractors, and managers.
• Oversee project completion, expenses, and quality control.
• Conduct interviews with potential field engineers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to allocate resources for project completion.
• Complete required documentation for employees and projects.
• Provide technical assistance as needed.

Scope of Position

As a Service Field Supervisor, you will be essential to the ALC business through guiding and overseeing Field Engineers. We are looking for someone who can motivate their employees to grow and foster a positive team morale, dedicated to providing our customers with the best products and services. You will plan and set goals for your team, solve difficult problems, explain policies and procedures, and collaborate with other departments on processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Manage field engineers through training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Ensure team is optimizing their time on projects and properly entering billing hours.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication to customers, subcontractors, and department managers.
• Oversee project completion, expenses, and quality control.
• Conduct interviews with potential field engineers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Branch Operations Managers to allocate resources and manpower to optimize the completion of projects.
• Complete required documentation for employees and projects.
• Provide technical assistance when needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of HVAC Controls experience OR Associate Degree with 4+ years of HVAC Controls experience OR Bachelor Degree with 2+ years of HVAC controls experience.
• Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by company’s insurance carrier.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business, or related subject matter.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
• Proficient in Automated Logic and Phoenix software, such as WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, or similar software.
• Previous leadership experience and ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
• Ability to multitask various large and diverse challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
