We have an opening for a motivated individual to serve as a Service Excellence HVAC/R Lead Technician in Trenton, NJ. This role involves ensuring the optimal and efficient operation of our fleet of HVAC units.

Why this Role is Important:

Our recent initiative to replace HVAC units with ultra-high efficiency models aims to save energy on our customers' sites. Proper maintenance and control of these units are crucial for the success of this program. This position is vital in maintaining the efficiency of these units within the NJ team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems and equipment to ensure excellent operation within your geographic area.
  • Identify maintenance risks and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Perform commissioning checks and adjust HVAC RTU controller configurations for optimal performance.
  • Provide physical maintenance, including changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and checking for mechanical failures.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during nights and weekends (on-call).
  • Perform repairs, warranty services, and keep detailed logs of all activities in the company system.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and safety regulations.
  • Assist with customer queries and ensure service standards are met.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R service technician.
  • Master HVAC/R Contractor License and EPA Certification are required.
  • Experience with HVAC controls, especially Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers, is a plus.
  • Ability to proactively recognize issues before they escalate.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to help develop the local team.
  • Customer-focused and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to travel within Trenton, NJ, and other areas in NJ.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and be available for on-call duties, including nights.

Location: Trenton, NJ

Compensation: $25—$45 USD per hour, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
