This critical role will focus on developing accurate and competitive estimates for service projects within the Water & Wastewater industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of water and wastewater systems, including their equipment, applications, relevant regulations, and the interconnectedness of system components. You will collaborate closely with our sales and service teams, playing a key role in securing projects and contributing to our continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties with a Safety-First mentality.
• Work directly with sales & service teams to estimate service projects from start to finish, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
• Generate estimates aligned with company sales, revenue, and gross profit goals.
• Explore alternative solutions to improve bid competitiveness.
• Foster relationships with customers, vendors, and consultants.
• Travel to job sites for data collection, progress assessment, and meetings.
• Proactively seek new business opportunities.
• Prioritize safety in all duties.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide monthly forecasts/reports to management.
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience within the municipal or commercial industrial sectors, with a significant portion of this experience directly related to the Water & Wastewater industry or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a service or construction estimator, preferably with a strong focus on water and wastewater projects.
• Demonstrable high level of understanding of water and wastewater systems, including a comprehensive knowledge of the equipment utilized (e.g., pumps, valves, treatment processes), their specific applications, relevant environmental and safety regulations, and how these elements function together as an integrated system.
• Willingness to travel as required to job sites and client locations.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• High energy level and a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Thorough understanding of company and industry-specific processes and regulations.
