Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer in California to troubleshoot, repair and maintain laboratory instrumentation and robotics. The role emphasizes independent work on medium to high complexity issues and requires adherence to GDP and regulatory requirements.

You will draft SOPs, document tickets, and communicate clearly with customers, supported by 2–5 years of service engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Life Sciences.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Engineer is an intermediate role focused on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and robotics (such as liquid handlers and analytical instruments). This engineer has more independence than a service engineer 1 and is expected to have a good troubleshooting foundation and understanding of most instruments used in the lab, and can address service events of medium complexity independently and of high complexity with some guidance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
• Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.

COMPENSATION & TOTAL REWARDS

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and skills considerations.

Compensation Range

$88,200 - $110,000 USD
