Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks a Service Engineer Liaison for weekend shift to support design, analysis, and liaison engineering in the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, knowledge of aircraft structures and repair, and experience with CAD tools such as CATIA and AutoCAD. Strong communication and ability to work with diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination to perform essential functions of aircraft structures design.
• Basic understanding of aircraft structures design principles and aircraft structural repair.
• Ability to use or learn CAD tools such as CCD, CATIA V4 & V5, AutoCAD, or similar in aircraft structures design.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, managers, customers, etc.
• Flexibility to move quickly between assignments and handle multiple issues simultaneously.

• 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of aircraft structures design.


• 2. Basic understanding of aircraft structures design principles and aircraft structural repair.


• 3. The ability to use or learn computer aided design tools such as CCD, CATIA V4 & V5, AutoCAD, or similar in the design of aircraft structures.


• 4. Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills and the ability to effectively communicate the organization's position with external and internal customers.


• 5. The ability to effectively work with and support a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, managers, customers, etc.


• 6. Flexibility to move quickly from one assignment to the next and the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.

Preferred Unique skills

• 1. Gulfstream engineering experience, e.g. GIV, G450, GV, G550, G650, G500, G600 G700, G800.


• 2. Experience with Aircraft and Component Maintenance Manuals and Structural Repair Manuals.


• 3. Experience designing aircraft structural repair drawings with basic static stress analysis in support of the drawing.


• 4. Fundamental knowledge of composite and metal bonded structural design.


• 5. Practical hands on aircraft repair experience and problem solving.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

• Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.


• The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
