Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA is seeking a Completions Engineer II - Mechanical Design to join the GAC Savannah team. You will tackle engineering tasks related to research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 18 months of related experience; CATIA V5 experience is essential, with SmarTeam a plus and interiors design preferred.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Skills

• Successful applicant will be self-motivated, and able to develop an approach from initial procedure review, data processing, task optimization, and specifically communication of technical information to a wide range of audiences, meeting customer needs.
• Experience using CATIA V5 or similar 3D cad software to create/update/modify design engineering drawings/models.
• Ability to employ design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods as directed to meet the manufacturing, quality, and schedule requirements.
  

Preferred Skills

• Interiors design experience preferred.
• Experience using SmarTeam a plus
  

Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months related Engineering experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD in field applicable to the job position.

• Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
• Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise .
