Job summary

Huston Electric is seeking experienced technicians to service diesel and gaseous generators and transfer switches in a fast-paced, on-site Indiana environment. The role emphasizes hands-on repair, diagnostics, and load bank testing for a range of equipment.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of generator experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug/background checks, and own hand tools. We offer training, competitive hourly pay, pension, and health/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience preferred.
• Experience working with diesel and gaseous fueled industrial and residential standby generators and automatic transfer switches.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair generators and transfer switches (certifications in generators, transfer switches, and diesel engines are a plus).
• Experience performing load bank testing on generators of all sizes.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have your own hand tools to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call emergency repair rotation.
