Job summary

A leading MEP contractor in Newport News is seeking a Service Electrician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience and knowledge of electrical codes. This role involves servicing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems while providing exceptional customer service. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a service electrician.
• Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and OSHA safety regulations.
• Journeyman’s License preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, and maintain wire and control panels and lighting systems.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

A day in the life:

• Service, install, and maintain wire and control panels and lighting systems
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers/clients
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose electrical problems with a variety of testing devices

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a service electrician
• Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and OSHA safety regulations
• Journeyman’s License preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license
