Job summary

E.L. Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced Service Electrician to join our expanding service division.

This role focuses on residential and commercial service work, with opportunities to work independently while supported by an experienced team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems, communicating clearly with customers and delivering high-quality workmanship in compliance with NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years electrical service experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working directly with residential and commercial customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Communicate professionally with customers, answer questions, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Perform electrical service calls and complete small to mid-sized projects.
• Assess job requirements, provide basic estimates, and identify necessary materials.
• Independently manage daily service calls and coordinate job schedules.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, work orders, and job-related paperwork.
• Keep company service vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship while following NEC requirements and applicable safety standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and respect for customers' properties.
