Service Driver / Service Porter - Three Rivers Ford

The Service Driver / Porter is responsible for performing various duties related to the operation of our service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Sales Associates, and Managers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver customer's vehicles from their home to our service drive, and deliver back when work is complete.
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed.
  • Move vehicles from the intake area to the storage area.
  • Move vehicles inside and outside of the service center to help achieve production standards.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly facility by sweeping, removing trash and discarded parts, and other actions required to maintain the appearance of the production and service areas.
  • Understand and follow regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. This job requires strong "people skills" and a genuine desire to service clients. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player are essential.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Operator Driver's License (must be insurable and able to drive a standard transmission).

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
