Job summary

BMW of Pembroke Pines is seeking a Drive Technician to join the Holman family. The role focuses on keeping the vehicle lot organized, moving cars efficiently for repairs and delivery, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or auto-related experience and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Responsibilities include operating manual transmissions, supporting the workshop, and maintaining fuel levels and parts flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or one year of related auto experience, equivalent technical auto program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Experience operating both standard shift and manual vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle lot for organization and monitor workflow to ensure efficient movement of cars for repairs and customer delivery.
• Move and relocate cars, ensure full fuel tanks, assist with oil changes and tire rotations, and manage shop parts as needed.
• Verify receipt of and perform damage inspections on vehicles.
• Assist workshop tasks as directed by trainer/team lead or Shop Foreman, and keep snacks/sodas/coffee stocked.

What will you do?

• Responsible for maintaining vehicle lot to ensure organization for service, as well as monitoring workflow to ensure cars are efficiently moving within and out of the shop for repairs and customer delivery.
• Move and relocate cars and ensure that all vehicles contain full tanks of fuel, may assist with oil changes and tire rotations, emptying oil buckets, collecting large parts and batteries from the shop.
• Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection.
• Provide assistance to the workshop by completing tasks defined by the trainer/team leader or Shop Foreman, keeping the snacks/sodas/coffee stocked.
• Must be able to work with due diligence to complete the designated tasks and vehicular repair so as to avoid additional damage to the customer’s vehicle.
• Able to follow all rules of the road and posted speed limits while driving customer and dealership owned vehicles while on road tests.
