Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group in Frederick, MD, is looking for a Service Dispatcher to enhance the efficiency of our busy service department. The ideal candidate will organize repair orders, allocate them to technicians by skill and workload, and ensure timely communication with customers and team members.

You will monitor progress, support service advisors and managers, and help maintain documentation and compliance with manufacturer policies.

• Familiarity with manufacturer policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level and workload to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Monitor repair order progress and provide follow-up on repair status to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Offer technical support to the shop as needed, assisting technicians in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Track shop production metrics to ensure targets are being met and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee shop training schedules to ensure technicians are up to date with manufacturer certifications and skills.
• Review repair orders to ensure proper documentation aligns with manufacturer policies and procedures.
• Assist service advisors and service managers with various daily tasks to support department operations.
