Job summary

Border Plains Equipment in Williston, ND is seeking a Service Diesel Technician to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on farm equipment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and precision ag systems while mentoring junior technicians.

Applicants should have 5+ years in maintenance of agricultural or heavy equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and reconditioning on a variety of farm equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and precision ag system repairs.
• Independently analyze equipment issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Support and mentor junior technicians as needed, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Follow service schedules while managing workflow efficiently and accurately.
• Document work performed in detailed reports and work orders with a high level of accuracy.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools, electronic parts catalogs, and technical resources to support repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Promote our team values through positive, respectful interactions.
