The Service Development Director (SDD) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a key role in supporting the facility’s growth, community outreach, and patient access to care through strategic marketing and service development initiatives.
In this role, the SDD develops and implements marketing strategies, oversees territory and departmental goals, and helps strengthen relationships with referral sources and community partners. The SDD also gathers clinical information, conducts pre-admission screenings, determines admission eligibility, and assists patients and families with identifying appropriate care options when hospital-level services are not indicated.
The Service Development Director works closely with leadership, referral sources, and clinical teams to promote continuity of care, expand services, and support positive patient outcomes. This position also provides leadership and support to Service Development Representatives (SDRs) while promoting mental health awareness and community engagement.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and professional leader with strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills and a passion for behavioral healthcare and community service.
