Job description

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Remote Service Desk Technician. The role involves answering calls, logging calls in the ticketing system, and providing rapid, accurate support to customers. Candidates should have an IT background to assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Pay Range

This range is provided by CGS Federal. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience. Please consult with your recruiter for more details.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle Tier 1 service desk escalations via tickets, chat, email, or phone.
  2. Follow up on requests to ensure timely resolution.
  3. Create accounts, configure hardware, support mobility devices.
  4. Maintain Service Desk records and support security requirements.
  5. Assist with account management, password resets, and standard procedures.
  6. Monitor customer problems and update users on progress.
  7. Process change requests for IT services.
  8. Remain available during shifts, excluding breaks, to assist users.
  9. Manage user expectations and provide resolution updates.
Qualifications
  1. Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years relevant experience.
  3. US Citizenship required.
  4. Experience supporting Windows 10, MS Office 365, Active Directory, and IT ticketing systems.
  5. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  6. Flexibility to work any shift on a 24/7 schedule, including holidays.
