Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Service and Delivery Technician III to install, configure, test and deploy hardware and software across store locations. Travel will be required between Southern Vermont stores and a few in New Hampshire, with some overnight or early-morning shifts.

You will provide end-user training and technical support as part of a collaborative IT team, tackling infrastructure upgrades, data migrations, and new hardware deployments while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; BA/BS preferred, or 3+ years of technical training/certifications.
• 5+ years' technical systems experience; 2+ years' technical support in retail tech preferred.
• 2+ years' experience with store systems, hardware and installation/ config experience.

Responsibilities

• Support standard hardware and systems across Shaw's stores.
• Repair PC/Server hardware, network hardware, RF hardware and printers.
• Provide end-user IT support and train users on deployed tech.
• Plan and execute projects: network upgrades, data migrations, new hardware.
• Travel to Albertsons-owned stores; up to 25% travel involved.

What you will be doing

An Albertsons IT Service & Delivery Technician III is a vital role in any organization that relies on technology. You will be traveling store to store installing, configuring, testing, and deploying hardware and software systems across various platforms and devices. This sometimes will require overnight or early morning shifts, depending on the project. You will also provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring that they can use the technology you deployed effectively and efficiently. The position covers Southern Vermont, covering stores that include Springfield, Ludlow, Wilmington, Poultney and Fairhaven, Vermont and a couple of Stores in New Hampshire like Walpole and Peterborough. You will be traveling to different Albertsons owned stores daily.

Main responsibilities

• Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Shaw's
• Repair all approved standard technology hardware including PC/Server hardware, Network hardware, RF hardware, and printers.
• Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications.
• Trouble shoot resolution.
• Installation of new hardware and software.
• Provide customers with IT support; meet goals for service level agreements.
• Provide network and remote connectivity (hardware/software) support.
• Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies.
• Work with Support Center (STSC) on assignment of problems, support issues and concerns with computer systems.
• Interface with all Corporate IT groups for on-site support and technology resolutions.
• Adhere to repair standards and service levels established.
• Driving required for this Zone Service Area.
• Role includes up to 25% travel

What we are searching for

• Excellent telephone, customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather important information to resolve high pressure issues/situations (for remote locations)
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present technical information and tailor responses for customer understanding.
• Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models and Windows, MS Office, and related applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening and overnight, as well as on-call support capacity.
• Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

• High school graduate, BA/BS degree preferred, or 3+ year's technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.
• Information Technology project implementation exposure with 5+ year's technical systems and 2+ years of technical support experience.
• 2+ years' experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware preferred.
• 2+ years' experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred.Must have a good, safe driving record. Must have a reliable vehicle for this position.

Physical Environment:

• Work may be performed in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
• May spend long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
• Workday is fast paced; some evening and weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.
